Inbound Lead Specialist

As an inbound lead specialist, you are a master in sales and product knowledge and are highly influential in how you engage with customers. You know how to turn mild customer curiosity into intense interest. You are the first person our customers speak with and you guide inbound leads to sign up for trials. You always meet or exceed your established performance goals. You're proud to represent JAM, and you exemplify that in all your interactions with customers. The role is equal parts sales, writer, and efficiency hacker.  

What is JAM?
JAM creates online courses for kids ages 8 and up.

What is the heart of the job?

  • Sales Rep: You sell parents on the benefits of JAM courses. You help our parents quickly unblock anything keeping them from registering for a course or having a positive experience deciding whether to use JAM, including helping them determine the best course for their kids.
  • Communicator: You are a pro at succinct, influential writing.
  • Efficiency Hacker: You are constantly testing and implementing ways to make your job more efficient.
  • Team Player: You provide a valuable feedback loop between parents and our internal team. You collect and share suggestions, as well as pain points, of our marketing efforts with the rest of the company.

What will I do?

  • Respond to ~80+ queries per day from parents via Intercom chat
  • Continuously update our knowledge base so parents can find answers on their own
  • A/B test messaging to understand what is effective in converting signups to trials

What is the ideal background?

  • Demonstrated success in online sales
  • Proven ability to learn new things
  • Excellent verbal and written skills
  • Experience with Intercom, Front, Stripe, or similar support software a plus

When will I be paid?

  • Pay: ~$48,000 depending on experience level
