Drawing Mentor

JAM is currently designing an exciting online drawing course to inspire kids to be fearless to create. We are looking for someone to star in our videos who is skilled at drawing realistically, has an interest in helping beginners learn how to draw, and loves being on camera.

Our videos will give you a new path to motivate and educate a community of kids ages 8-16 from all around the world. Our film shoots are insanely fun and, at the end of our one-week film shoot, you’ll get paid $5k USD. In addition, the projects our kids post in the course will be an antidote to any creative block you might experience in the years to come.

We are a young, passionate, creative company in San Francisco devoted to giving kids a safe space to learn creativity and share their work. If you’d like to know more about this opportunity then please send us two brief selfie videos to introduce yourself.

1. Tell us the story of a moment when your plans or ideas went horribly awry. What happened? It can be on any topic from vacations to cooking or anything in between. Please look straight into the camera and aim to tell your story in under 2 minutes.

2. Draw a rough sketch of a face with some sort of expression and talk us through the drawing process. You might need to mount your camera or phone above you or ask a friend to hold it for you so that we can see your drawing unfold. Imagine you are talking with a peer/friend who is a beginner at drawing and you are simply giving them some honest insights into the process. Aim to do the drawing in under 5 minutes. Our goal is simply to get a feel for how you explain things.

Thanks for your interest in JAM. We look forward to seeing your videos and continuing the conversation.

p.s. We’d come to you for the film shoot OR we’d pay for you to visit San Francisco - whatever works best for you. The film shoot will occur somewhere during the March 27-April 9th range.
